Rod Average - 8.0

The fishing continues to be very consistent at Rutland.

Boat wise, fish are close in to the shoreline where fish are feeding Shrimp, and fish taken from Dickensons have been feeding on worm, this will be due to the very high level of water we have in the reservoir exposing areas of bank that hasn’t been under water for sometime, again this week dries/emergers working, along with buzzers and nymphs (Hare's ear, Dawl Bach, & Cruncher), Various Sinking lines are also catching, Mini lures, Blobs, Boobies, Humungus and Snakes.

Productive areas, Dickensons Bay and around to the start of Burley Reach, Barnsdale, Stockie Bay, Sykes Lane frontage, Yellowstones, Hambleton Wood, Sailing Club and Church Bay.

Bank wise, Stockie Bay, Sykes Lane frontage, Barnhill Creek, Old Hall Bay and Old Hall Point through to Green Bank. Fish are close into the bank so always fan cast close in to start off, absolutely no need to wade or to cast a full line. It’s also been reported to keep trying different flies as what caught yesterday may not today. Small dries, buzzers and shrimp patterns are catching most fish on a floating line.

3,000 rainbows were stocked from the south shore last week, and 1000 browns with a further 3000 more stocked Monday in the main basin. Total stocking for the season 32,000.
